Two-factor confirmation of operations

The option allows you to configure additional second factor confirmation of the following operations performed with the domain name:

  • domain name DNS server management;
  • management of the domain name's child DNS servers;
  • suspension of domain name delegation;
  • enabling/disabling DNSSEC;
  • change of Whois contacts;
  • change of individual contact data;
  • change of the domain name settings allowing/prohibiting change of registrar;
  • mass change operations for .RU, .SU, .РФ and third-level domains;
  • access to the control panel of the DNS Premium service, if the service is enabled for the domain;
  • access to the control panel of the Website Monitoring service, if the service is enabled for the domain;
  • activation/deactivation of the Monitoring of Competitive Registrations service, if the service is enabled for the domain;
  • domain name transfer to another agreement;
  • domain name transfer to another registrar;
  • change of settings, enabling/disabling options included in domain security levels.

To configure or enable an option:

1. Make sure that two-factor authentication is enabled under the agreement. You can configure two-factor authentication in "Manage your account → Security settings → Two-factor authentication” section.

Please note: if two-factor authentication is disabled under the agreement, the "Two-factor confirmation of operations" option for the domain will also be disabled.

2. Go to “Manage your account → My domains” section.

3. Select a domain with Maximum security level enabled.

4. Go to “Security” tab.

5. Go to option "Two-factor confirmation of operations" and click "Enable".

To disable two-factor confirmation of actions with a domain, on the domain page, click "Disable" in the "Two-factor confirmation of operations" item in the "Security" tab.
