Delegation removal (deactivation) of .ru, .su, and .рф domains due to non-payment
If the domain renewal is not paid by the registration expiration date, the domain will be deactivated on the date indicated in the "paid-till" field in the Whois service. If the scheduled deactivation date falls on a weekend or holiday, the deactivation will be postponed to the first business day after the weekend. The date is displayed in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

After deactivation, all HTTP requests will be redirected to a service page with information about temporary access suspension for the domain. If you do not want a service page to appear after deactivating a .ru or .рф domain, please contact us at support@nic.ru.
A domain can be renewed within 30 days after the registration expiration date (renewal grace period). Once renewed, the website and email functionality will automatically resume.
Deletion of .ru, .su, and .рф domains due to non-payment
If the renewal payment for .ru, .su, and .рф domains is not made during the renewal grace period, the registration will be canceled (the domain will be released) on the date indicated in the "free-date" field in the Whois service. If the scheduled domain release date falls on a weekend or holiday, the domain release will be postponed to the second business day after the weekend or holiday. The date is displayed in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

Deletion of gTLDs and foreign ccTLDs due to non-payment
If the renewal payment for a gTLD or foreign ccTLD is not made during the renewal grace period (30 days after the registration expiration date), the domain deletion procedure will be initiated in the Registry. If the deletion date falls on a weekend or holiday, the deletion procedure will be postponed to the second business day after the weekend.
The domain deletion procedure in the Registry lasts 35 days*. The Registry sets the domain status to RedemptionPeriod in the Whois service for 30 days.
The start date of the thirty-day period is indicated in the Whois service in the "Updated Date" field.
Within 25 days from the start of the 30-day deletion period, the domain can be restored and renewed (except for .hn and .kz domains) upon request from the Registrant (domain owner).
If the domain is not restored and renewed, it will be deleted from the Registry 5 days after the expiration of the RedemptionPeriod. The domain will be assigned the PendingDelete status in the Whois service. A domain with this status cannot be restored, renewed, or registered.
Once deleted, the domain can be registered by anyone.
* Exceptions:
• .hn domains: The deletion procedure lasts 15 days, and the domain cannot be restored or renewed during this period.
