Clarifications to a New Version of "Domains Registration Rules in RU TLD"

In June 2009 Coordination Center for TLD RU approved the modifications into the documents, regulating domain names registration in RU TLD. Thus, a new version of the "Domains registration rules in RU TLD" will take effect October 1, 2009.

With a view to the above, Registrants in RU TLD will be required to furnish the Registrar with their ID data, in particular:

  • for legal entities:
    • a copy of the certificate about state registration of a legal entity issued by the state authorities;
  • for natural persons:
    • passport copy (personal details and issuance data);
  • for entrepreneur:
    • passport copy (personal details and issuance data).

Copies of identification documents may be submitted to RU-CENTER by:

  • web-interface in "Manage your account" section;
  • e-mail: id@nic.ru;
  • fax: +7 (495) 7370602;
  • regular mail: 123308, 3d Khoroshevskaya str., 2/1, Moscow, Russia RU-CENTER;
  • delivery to our office: 125315, Leningradsky prospekt, 74, bldg. 4, Moscow, Russia.

Digital ID document copies shall be submitted in "jpg", "png", "gif" or "pdf" formats.

In either case a client shall specify his/her contract number.

Registrants' Identification in RU-CENTER

The clients, who signed a contract with RU-CENTER before October 1, 2009, will be able to submit identification documents by April 1, 2010.

For the period from October 1, 2009 to April 1, 2010 the registration requests will be processed in a usual routine and effective April 1, 2010 new domains will be available for the identified clients only.

Upon receipt and examination of the identification documents, a client may view the "Manage your account" section to check, whether he is identified or not. If you are still unidentified, we recommend that your identification documents be submitted in good time.
