Third-level .COM.RU, .NET.RU, .ORG.RU, .PP.RU and geodomains are a good alternative to second-level domains, mainly because there are a lot of available third-level domains, so it is much easier to find a short, memorable and "good-looking" domain name among third-level domains than, say, among .COM, .NET, or .ORG domains. One more advantage is a lower registration and renewal fee, comparing to other domain zones.
