From August 30, 2016, the Coordination Center for TLD RU will establish a new procedure for transferring domain names between registrars using an automated algorithm. The new algorithm will allow you to confirm the acceptance of domain transfer applications not only in a written form, but also using SMS and email authorization.
The old algorithm of domain name transfer between registrars will become invalid from August 30. All registrar change procedures initiated before August 30 will be terminated and the current registrar will continue maintaining the domain names thereafter.
Written applications to transfer domain names to RU-CENTER or another registrar will be accepted and processed until August 25, 2016 inclusive.
Moreover, from August 30, 2016, the .RU and .РФ Registry will introduce a fee for .RU and .РФ domain name transfer between registrars (a receiving registrar will be responsible for paying the fee). Therefore, the transfer of .RU and .РФ domain names to RU-CENTER will become a paid service. The cost of transferring one domain name will amount to USD 2.
The description of the new transfer procedure will be published on the website on August 30.
