.РФ Domains Public Registration Launched

From September 21, 2010 RU-CENTER welcomes .РФ preorder requests from general public. In October-November 2010 .РФ domains registration will be available for general public. We remind you that at this moment three "open start" options are under discussion:

• Opening registration for general public in compliance with the approved policy at a standard price (600 rub.);
• Start of .РФ domains public registration at a higher price (up to 6 ths. rub.);
• Registration of a limited number of .РФ domains per person.
  
  

The solution for final determination of the starting concept of .РФ domains public registration will be accepted by the Council of the Coordination Center for TLD RU at a session on September 30, 2010.

Due to the fact that .РФ registration terms and fees are so far unknown, RU-CENTER welcomes .РФ preorder requests from general public under the following procedure:

• at the moment of pre-orders collection for further domain registration, a minimum sum of 600 rubles shall be allocated on a client's personal account;
• the size of a minimum sum may be changed subject to a service fee increase by the TLD RU Coordination Center for the Registrar;
• the specified sum will be refunded to the client, if domain registration fails for any reason, or the client cancels the registration before it is in place.
