New option to manage contact data

Effective March 23, RU-CENTER will grant its clients and partners the opportunity to unsubscribe from the technical messages without authorization in the "Manage Your Account" section.

We made the unsubscription easy and user-friendly. Just click on the link in your letter and make a request, specifying your contract number and e-mail address to be unlisted.

This opportunity would be most critical for technical experts rendering temporary support for the domain holders in their getting RU-CENTER services.

Technical Message Unsubscription Example: Typically, a domain holder is practically unable to set the service without a proper technical consultation. So, domain delegation and setting of services, such as mail and site, can hardly be achievable without qualified assistance.

To provide for prompt interface for setting RU-CENTER services, a domain holder enters technical assistant's e-mail-address in a specific field of his form. This field (mnt-nfy) is provided for entry of e-mail addresses, where RU-CENTER sends technical messages, such as DNS-server test failure reports. Field "email" is provided in the form for administrative messages and password letters. The e-mail addresses of a domain holder and technical assistant are therefore differentiated. It enables the domain holder to make efficient distribution of data flows and limit access rights to his contract.

If, after successful domain launch and services setting, technical assistance is no longer needed, but his contact e-mail is still in the mnt-nfy field of the form he may still receive technical notifications from RU-CENTER. With this unsubscription option IT-expert having no administrative password to the "Manage Your Account" section, will be able to make and confirm his request for cancellation of his e-mail address from the mnt-nfy field of the domain holder's form.
