gTLD and foreign ccTLD domains transfer to RU-CENTER

If you desire to pay for renewal of your domain (.COM, .NET,.TV, .ME, .TEL, . TRAVEL,…) registered by another registrar, you should undergo registrar change procedure.

The domain name transfer service costs (including taxes):

- 620 rubles for .NET, .COM, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO domains
- 1240 rubles for .CC domains
- 1515 rubles for .TV domains
- 950 rubles for .ME domains
- 650 rubles for .MOBI domains
- 545 rubles for .NAME domains
- 690 rubles for .TEL domains
- 4600 rubles for .AG domains
- 1050 rubles for .BZ domains
- 3400 rubles for .HN domains
- 2200 rubles for .LC domains
- 2150 rubles for .MN domains
- 4600 rubles for .SC domains
- 1550 rubles for .VC domains

Domain name registration term is extended for one year as a result of the transfer.

Registrar change procedure is not implemented in the following cases:

• 60 days have not passed since the date of domain name registration;
• 60 days have not passed since the moment of last registrar change;
• domain name is blocked by the registry or by the current registrar.

The procedure of domain name transfer

1. Domain name administrator should:

2. RU-CENTER block money funds on the agreement personal account and sends a request to the Administrator's e-mail (contact person for administrative issues), specified in the current whois-information for the domain name (Administrative Contact field).

3. Administrator (contact person for administrative issues) should authorize domain name transfer to RU-CENTER's registration system. In the process of authorization one should specify the registry authorization code. In case there is no answer within 5 days or in case the authorization code is wrong, Registrar change is cancelled, the order is removed, money is returned to the personal account of the agreement with RU-CENTER and may be used to pay for other services.

4. After receiving the owner's agreement RU-CENTER initiates domain name transfer process in the registry.

5. The present domain name registrar may send the request regarding confirmation of registrar change to the domain name administrator.

6. The current registrar confirms domain name transfer in the registry after receiving the agreement. The registry transfers the domain name to RU-CENTER and notifies registrars about the changes which came into force.

7. In case registrar change is completed successfully, RU-CENTER sends notifications to contact e-mail addresses from the agreement. Domain name registration term is prolonged for 1 year, at that the total term of domain name registration should not exceed 10 (ten) years.

8. In case registrar change was not completed, money funds are returned to the personal account of the agreement with RU-CENTER and may be used to pay for other services.

The procedure of registrar change takes from 7 to 10 calendar days.
