Auction Start
If your backorder is a single one and RU-CENTER managed to register a domain in the Registry upon its release, the clients applying for this particular domain will face a closed auction.
RU-CENTER will inform you of the auction starting moment, its terms and conditions via e-mail. This information will be also available 24 hours prior to starting auction on web-server www.auction.ru (section "My Auctions" - "Backordered Domains Auction" - "Auctions: active").
At the auction starting moment your bid and same of other clients will
be automatically placed to 30 conventional money units. A conventional money
unit is equal to 1 (one) US dollar.
The bids of the clients, who were first and second to have made their orders ready-to-process by the auction start, will be deemed the Best Bid and Second Bid respectively.
How to Change a Bid
You may change your bid in course of the auction. A new bid shall exceed the Best Bid for an auction increment and be a round number. The auction increment ranges from 5 to 50 conventional money units.
The bid may be changed manually or through a Proxy Bidding.
The following actions are to be taken to change the bid manually:
- log in to web-server www.auction.nic.ru, using administrative password;
- in menu "My Auctions" select item " Backordered Domains Auction" - "Auctions: Active";
- find the required domain in the list of active auctions and click on the domain name;
- enter the required bid value into field "New bid" and click on "Enter".
The auction can be prolonged in the cases envisaged by the Auction
Schedule. The auction closing moment is determined to the exact minute.
Keep track of the auction status and wait until "Auction closing" message
appears.
Proxy bidding
If you know the maximum price you are ready to offer for a domain, and
if you want your bid to increase automatically during the auction up to a
certain desired value, enter that value in the "Maximum bid" field and the
Proxy bidding will be increasing your bid automatically. The Proxy bidding
will bid up with a minimum auction increment and if only your bid is not
the Best bid.
How to Withdraw from Auction
You may withdraw only in auction progress, if your bid is not the Best
or the Second Bid.
The following steps are to be taken to withdraw from the auction:
- log in to section "My Auctions" on web-server auction.nic.ru, using
administrative password;
- select menu item "Backordered Domains Auction" - "Auctions: Active";

and click on the domain name;

Upon withdrawal from the auction the deposit blocked on your personal
account will be released and may be used as payment for other
services.
Auction Closing. Determining the Auction Winner
- The Auction Winner and the Bidder who offered the Second bid are
defined upon auction closing. If the Auction Winner fails to fulfill
payment obligations, the domain name purchase right is transferred to the
Bidder offering the Second bid, who thereby becomes the Auction Winner.
RU-CENTER notifies thereof the former by means of communication
channels.
- Data on auction results and follow-up actions will be communicated
to all Bidders and Partners to the addresses specified in their contracts
with RU-CENTER.
- RU-CENTER will expect money receipt from the Auction Winner:
- The Auction Winner shall effect payment for purchasing the
domain name within 10 (ten) calendar days from the moment of sending
him/her notification that he/she is the Auction Winner. Auction Winners
will be announced thereof through contact addresses specified in the
client's contract.
- If the Auction Winner fails to effect payment for the won domain
name within the set period, the client who offered the second bid is
entitled to buy this domain.
- RU-CENTER shall transfer the domain name to the Auction Winner no
later than 3 (three) business days upon domain payment.
- If the Auction Winner, who offered the Second Bid, failed to pay for
the domain within the set period, the auction will be deemed closed and
RU-CENTER is entitled to use the domain name at its own discretion.

www.auction.nic.ru up to expiry of the domain set payment term. If the
