Glossary of Terms

Domain Name Purchase — purchase of the domain name administration right.

Domain Name Sale — transfer of the domain name administration right.

Auction — organizational activities oriented at preparing and holding public auctions for the right to administer the domain name put up by the Seller for sale, selecting the auction Winner and transferring the domain name to the auction Winner.

Bidding — publication by the Organizer of the domain name information in the sale list and registration of the bidders' stakes.

Organizer — "Regional Network Information Center" (RU-CENTER).

Seller — domain name registrant willing to sell the domain under conditions which are best for him.

Buyer — a natural person or a legal entity willing to buy a domain name at an auction under the terms of this Schedule and who has applied for that purpose to the Organizer or the Organizer's Partner.

Auction Winner — bidder, who has won the auction (offered the Best bid).

Commission — power of attorney given by the Seller to the Organizer for representation of the Seller's interests before the Buyer in the process of holding an auction for domain name administration right and in the process of domain name transfer to the auction Winner. Requirements to the form and content of the Commission are detailed and can be viewed on the Organizer's web-server: http://www.nic.ru.

Deposit — the funds deposited by the Buyer or the Partner (if the Buyer has addressed the Organizer's Partner) in order to ensure fulfillment of his obligations.

Start Price — the price from which domain name auction launches.

Blitz-Price — the price for which a domain name may be sold prematurely - before the end of an auction period.

Bid — an offer from a bidder of a domain name purchase auction. The Bids at the auction are made independently by a bidder (Buyer) or a Partner on behalf of the Buyer. The Bids are placed in conventional money units and include taxes.

Best Bid — maximum bid among all bidders' stakes.

Second Bid — second largest bid after the Best bid.

Auction Increment — an interval within which the Buyer may increase the bid. The range is from 20 to 50 conventional money units.

Organizer Fee — cost of Organizer's services on selling a domain name to the auction Winner in case of successful sale. It amounts to 10 (ten) percent of the domain name price, but it shall not be less than 50 and more than 1000 conventional money units (net of taxes).

Domain Name Price — a money sum paid by the auction Winner or Partner for purchasing the domain name on behalf of the Buyer who was declared the auction Winner, including taxes and the Organizer fee. The Domain name price is determined by the amount of the auction Winner's best bid.
