How Can the Partner's Client Buy a Domain at the Auction?

How to Enter Auction?

To enable the Partner's client participation in auction the Partner shall generate the "Bidding request".

The form is generated on web-server auction.nic.ru in section "My Auctions" - "Domain Auction: Buyer Profile"). The Partner should log in to "My Auctions" and enter the number of his service agreement (index NIC-REG) with RU-CENTER and a password.

The generated form confirms Partner's readiness to pay a Deposit. The Deposit amounts to $59 (tax included) for participation in an auction for each domain name.

After the above actions have been done and the funds used as the deposit have been blocked on the Partner's Personal Account, the bid specified in the bidding request will be registered in the auction and the Buyer and the Partner who manages the Buyer's form will be duly notified thereof by e-mail.

How to Change a Bid?

In the course of the auction the Buyer may change the bid on his own or via the Partner, if only their registered bid is not the Best bid among all Buyers' bids.

The following steps are to be taken to change the bid:

  • Log in to section "My Auctions" on web-server auction.nic.ru (Partner - NIC-REG index; client -NIC-D index);

  • select menu item "Domain Auction: Buyer Profile" - "Auctions: Active";

  • find the required domain in the list of active auctions and click on the domain name link;

  • enter the required bid value into field "New bid" and click on "Enter". A new bid shall not exceed the Best bid for a value more than the auction increment. The auction increment ranges from 20 to 50 conventional money units. If a Blitz price is published in the auction, it is allowed to set the bid at the value equal to the Blitz price.

How to Withdraw from Auction?

In the course of the auction the Buyer may withdraw (on his own or via the Partner) from auction participation.

The Buyer may withdraw from the auction only if the bid set by him is not the Best bid or Second bid among all Buyers' bids.

The following steps are to be taken to withdraw from the auction:

  • Log in to section "My Auctions" on web-server auction.nic.ru (Partner - NIC-REG index; client - NIC-D index);

  • select menu item "Domain Auction: Buyer Profile" - "Auctions: Active";

  • find the required domain in the list of bids on active auctions and click on the domain name link;

  • click on "Withdraw from Auction" button.

In this case the Deposit which has been reserved on the Partner's Personal account is released.

Auction Closing

Upon auction closing, RU-CENTER will send an invoice on domain name acquisition to the Partner who manages the auction Winner form.

RU-CENTER shall transfer the domain name to the auction Winner no later than 3 (three) business days from the day when the Partner fulfills payment obligations.

If payment is not effected in time, RU-CENTER will withdraw the amount of $59 from the Partner's Account and send an invoice for "Auction-Related Expenses" service.

Upon auction closing RU-CENTER will notify the Seller, Buyer and Partners on the domain transfer.
