Security key

A security key is used to provide an additional protection against unauthorized online domain transfer. In case of a domain transfer a losing registrant shall pass the security key to a gaining registrant. A domain transfer will fail without a security key or if the entered security key is invalid.

How to obtain a security key

After a losing registrant initiates the online domain transfer, RU-CENTER will send a security key to the mobile number specified in the application.

If a security key is unknown to the gaining registrant, he/she should contact the losing registrant.
